SONY Reader Wi-Fi

SONY has just announced their latest entrance into the world of e-book readers, what with the Sony Reader Wi-Fi – and if you are a innate fan of model numbers, you can always call it the PRS-T1. This is touted to be the lightest touch screen 6″ eReader device in the market and to date, where it claims to deliver the most natural and immersive reading occurrence yet for book lovers in a digital format, of course.
The new Reader Wi-Fi will continue where last year’s line left off, where it is smaller and lighter now without sacrificing on recital as new and enhanced features have been incorporated. Tipping the scales at less than 6 ounces, this particular Sony Reader Wi-Fi will come with a 6″ E-Ink Pearl V220 touch screen demonstrate, where it is far smaller than your typical paperback book so that it can fit into a bag or pocket in a jiffy. To conform to Sony’s signature device releases, this one too, will come in more than one color – black, red or white.
Sony’s Reader Wi-Fi also achieves another first by being the first model that delivers wireless connectivity to the public library system in both the US and Canada over a dedicated icon on the device that enables easy and convenient borrowing of free e-books courtesy of a valid library card. Apart from that, you are able to open up your mind to more than 2.5 million titles via a Wi-Fi connection from the Reader Store, where those who want to build up their digital book anthology can do so by purchasing additional copies from a wide range of bookstores and other websites.
The Reader Wi-Fi will also sport a glare-free Clear Dual Touch screen display with E-Ink Pearl electronic paper technology, delivering a high contrast image which would be easy on the eyes, even when you are reading under direct sunlight for hours on end. Want to flip the page? That’s easily done by swiping your finger, and you can zoom in on the text through the now standard pinching gesture.

Quick Play USB Turntable

Talk about giving a new spin on something that can be painstaking to be old, archaic even – Firebox has the £49.99 Quick Play USB Turntable just for you. It is the perfect device for those who want to make the jump over to the digital music situation from their precious old records. Vinyl lovers are able to do so with the Quick Play USB Turntable, where you are able to place your entire collection of LPs, 12″s and singles directly into a digital library.
It can transfer your primeval music collection straight to the computer through the simple act of plugging in the turntable into a USB port. Once that is done, just boot up the idiot-proof EZ vinyl converter software and you’re good to go with the conversion process. There is no need to worry about special kinds of drivers or mismatched software for sure.
Not only that, the belt-driven USB Turntable can also be connected to any home stereo with CD or auxiliary inputs. Basically, it allows you to spin your records via a regular system whenever you are not converting them.

ArtStation Pro Turns Your iPad Into A Mini Home Theater

When you predictably get tired of holding your iPad while watching a movie, iLuv will come to the rescue with their new iMM514 ArtStation Pro ‘dock’ which turns your tablet into a miniature home theater. The iPad itself attaches to an articulated, swivelling arm ensuring it’s always positioned at the optimal angle. And it can be switched between landscape and portrait orientations for watching videos, or browsing a website.
The ArtStation Pro’s hefty base also incorporates what looks to be a generously sized speaker, if you prefer to use it as just a stereo. And an included wireless remote provides elementary functions like skipping tracks or adjusting the volume, while magnetically sticking to the back of the unit so it doesn’t go MIA when not in use. It’s also compatible with iPhones and iPod Touches, though it seems a little oversized to be used with those smaller devices.

Latest Razer Battlefied 3 BlackWidow Ultimate Mechanical Keyboard

When it comes to gaming peripherals, you know you can’t go wrong with what Razer has to suggest. After all, this company has long been a champion of gaming peripherals that just ooze with eminence, and their latest assault into a video game franchise ties up with the surefire hit – Battlefield 3 from publisher Electronic Arts. Well, there will be a mouse, hard mouse mat and Xbox 360 controller that will also sport the Battlefield 3 branding, but for now, we will concentrate on the Razer Battlefied 3 BlackWidow Ultimate mechanical keyboard.
At first momentary look it does seem to be rather memorable to most of you, don’t you think so? Especially when you consider the fact that the BlackWidow Ultimate mechanical keyboard has already been in the market, but this time around you will get Battlefield 3 branding all over it to make sure that whoever stumbles upon your gaming rig will know how big of a fan you are of the particular series.
It does not matter just what role you are going to play in the Battlefield 3 game – whether you are hard at work raining thunder behind enemy lines on a fighter jet, or simply shooting holes at the enemy base using a tank to make sure their defenses are more porous than Spongebob Squarepants, or playing the bit-part role of a fearless infantry unit, the Battlefield 3 Razer BlackWidow Ultimate gaming keyboard will not fall short when duty calls.
It has a full-fledged, heavy-duty mechanical key infrastructure that delivers crisp, tactile feedback as well as faster keystroke actuation to your gameplay, and if you are the type who loves playing in a dimly lit room, then the keyboard is fully backlit – letting you get your game on without disturbing anyone else in the environs with the clickety-clack sounds of keys being pressed.
As with most of the other Razer products, this one is always more affordable to purchase Stateside than in Europe, since the figure remains the same, just the currency differs. At $139.99/€139.99 a pop, the Razer Battlefied 3 BlackWidow Ultimate mechanical keyboard can be yours this coming October 25th. Anyone interested….

View Sonic does 3D With V3D245 Monitor

ViewSonic is somewhat like the Vizio of the monitor world – they tend to roll out pretty great hardware without breaking the bank when it comes to pricing, keeping customers everywhere happy. Of course, it still lacks the clout of far more conventional brands, but ViewSonic is certainly getting there from where they are at the moment. Stereoscopic 3D is said to be the next big thing, what with huge 3D capable TVs hitting the market already for sometime, and ViewSonic jumps aboard that bandwagon with their new 3D Vision V3D245 Monitor.
Just what can you expect from the 3D Vision LED Monitor? Well, for starters, it will come with NVIDIA’s 3D Vision Wireless Glasses alongside an integrated 3D Vision Emitter which is said to usher in a new era of 3D entertainment. This will be a 24″ LED monitor, so it ought to offer more than adequate viewing real estate regardless of the line of your work – unless, of course, you’re in the desktop publishing line or are part of the digital artist mutiny.
Not only do you get to enjoy LED technology that is advanced, the V3D245 Monitor will also feature astonishing power-saving performance. Hardware specifications read in an impressive manner, sporting a stunning 120Hz frame refresh rate, ultra-fast 2ms video response time, and HDMI 1.4 input, making it more or less perfect to cater for immersive 2D and 3D entertainment – in addition to gaming, of course. When you have that work in tandem with a resolution of 1920 x 1080, a 20,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio and 300 nits of high brightness, surely your eyes will be blown away by the surprising color accuracy and picture detail.
Each pair of NVIDIA 3D Vision wireless emitter that ships with your purchase can be connected to an NVIDIA GeForce-equipped PC, letting you enjoy over 550 3D games in full 1080p, 60 fps resolution. Of course, it also works great in letting you view 3D videos and photos, while streaming 3D web content to boot. Users can also opt to connect directly to the latest Blu-ray 3D players or PS3 consoles courtesy of the standard built-in HDMI 1.4 input.
Apart from that, with built-in two-watt SRS Premium Sound audio speakers, you have at your disposal what some might deem to be the ultimate multimedia entertainment display. Expect the ViewSonic V3D245 Monitor to arrive Stateside later this month for $499 a pop

New Verbatim Unleashes Ergo Mouse

Verbatim is more often than not a name which we combine with flash memory as well as portable storage (remember floppies back in the day?), but here we see them branching out into peripherals such as a mouse – specifically speaking, the Ergo Mouse. Verbatim’s Ergo Mouse will take the wireless route to keep up with the times, making sure you do not end up with a tangled mess at the end of the day.
This is an ergonomic mouse that seems to cater only to right handers as you can see from the image above, so southpaws will have to look elsewhere – or just pester the folks over at Verbatim to roll out a left-handed version! Featuring a convenient thumb maintain (for your right hand, of course), it offers what Verbatim calls to be “the ultimate comfortable computing experience.” The Ergo Mouse has an ultra-smooth, rubberized grip and scroll wheel that were specially developed with console in mind, making you control your computer easily without batting an eyelid.
Apart from that, this ergonomically designed mouse will work via the 2.4GHz wireless frequency for lag-free cursor movement. Gamers would do well to give this a miss though – especially hardcore ones, since it won’t be able to hold any macros at all, and there aren’t any weights for you to insert or remove to suit your gaming needs. This is purely a workstation mouse, to put it in a nutshell.
The Ergo Mouse will ship with a nano receiver that works great by remaining plugged into your notebook via USB at all times, so you need not worry about it snapping off on your travels or anything like that. Available in blue, red and black colors, it will be powered by a couple of AAA batteries which surprisingly comes with each $29.99 purchase. Normally, hardware manufacturers don’t throw in batteries as you would need to get those yourself. Good job, Verbatim
